Welcome note and info:

Hi There Everyone,

Firstly, congratulations for signing up to Carmel Dad's Soccer Spring 2016 with football being played on the West side of Carmel. If you are suddenly thinking, opps i made a mistake, just call the CDC office and they will help you out.I will be as transparent as possible with what info i have and what i can share. I know as a parent that info is great to have as early as possible so u can plan. i also apologise if i txt write/speak.

So this is what i know as of today.

1. This site is designed to help me, you and your children all have a great, fun experience this Spring. This is not rocket science, nor splitting the atom, we are all here to have fun and give our children a better understanding and fun time of learning soccer, or football as we call it in England. Please upload a picture of ur son or daughter when u have a chance so i can learn faces to names.

2. The games will start the weekend of April 16/17. As yet i have no timings, but as soon as I do i will post them on this site. Our last game will be May 21st weekend. The first 15 mins of each hour long session will be for coaching and the remaining time will be split up for the kids to play games. Two games will be played on fields/pitches next to each other with three players on each team and the remaining 3 players acting as subs. All players will get as equal of play time and being a sub as possible.

3. Picture Day is scheduled for April 30th, a Saturday. I'll post details of when and where nearer the time.

4.There will be no games played at this time on Mothers Day. The exception is if we get behind in the program because of bad weather and cancellations.

5. When i get any game dates and times i will pass those on to you straight away.

6.OK, SAFTEY TIME: Please make sure you child has soccer cleats, a size 3 ball ( inflated pls), dark coloured shorts if possible and shin guards. CDC supply shirt and socks. i will try and arrange u all have the shirts and socks prior to our first game day.My hope is to arrange a meet up somewhere local to hand out the gear and meet u all. I'm thinking no more than 15 mins max.

7. I'm looking for an assistant coach/referee to help referee one of the two games which will be played each week. I will obviously be referring one, if i can get someone to help ref the other. Its not anything to challenging at 8am on a Saturday i promise.

8. Each week the kids get a snack and drink after the game, such as water, juice box ( not soda) and a snack, bananas, apples, rice krispie treats, granola bars, chips, you get the idea, something fun. I bring the first week, if i could get you folks to sign up for the rest of the games that would be great. I'll work on a sign up sheet. The kids love this part and its great to see there faces for the different treats handed out. Oh, no homemade baked goods, sorry.Watch out for more info.OK, Thats all I have for now.Have a great nightPlease email me if u have any questions:      [email protected]
